October 2009

FALL is here. This is my favorite time of year. Coloring changing on the trees, warm nights by the fire, football games. What else could you ask for.

I am going to really try and learn this blog thing, so I can post on it reguarly. I can not seem to figure it out and I am pretty computer literate.

On another note, please pray for our family as we are praying for some direction in some life changing situations.

God Bless!

AUGUST ALREADY!!!!!

It is hard to believe that we are 2 weeks away from school starting. The summer has gone so fast. We did spend 10 days at Virginia Beach, which was AWESOME. This weekend is my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary and we are having a party at my house on Saturday. Next weekend my whole family is going to Gatlinburg, TN for 4 days to celebrate with my parents. I can not wait to go and bring back all of the good memories that we have from there.

Continue to pray for Stellan, who has had a wonderful week of no SVT. Also, pray for Lori who is patiently waiting for her TA to go get her daughter in China.

Is it really July??

Is it really July? Here I go again saying, where does the time go. I cannot believe we have been out of school for 6 weeks. Before you know it, it will be time to go back. Wal-Mart already has there school supplies out.

The 4th of July is a wonderful time of year. I LOVE this holiday. It is just a time of reflection for me. A time to be thankful for this nation and all of the men and women serving our country. I love the fireworks, parades, cookouts and just spending time hanging out with my family.

Please remember to pray for DW and Linn over at A Place Called Simplicity. They are wonderful people who have been tried over and over again this year to be defeated by Satan. Right now, DW has an illness and needs prayers. They are a wonderful family who walks with the Lord each day in everything they do.

Being Frugal

I was reading Lori's post this morning at Joy Unspeakable about being frugal. I thought that each day I will try to share a tip or a savings that I have come across during the week. I love coupons and great deals at the store. Walgreen's is a great place to save money and get many things for free. We have enough shampoo, toothpaste, cleaning supplies to last a life time that I have gotten for .25 or Free. I love to go to the grocery store and save half of the cost of my bill with coupons and weekly sales. I can almost do it everytime.

To start this off, everyone needs to go to www.thethriftymama.com
This website is constantly updating all day long with great offers and deals. I love it. You can also print many coupons from it on your home computer that work great at any store that will take coupons.

Enjoy the beginning of SAVING A TON!

THANKFUL THURSDAY

Now that my computer seems to be up and running again, I will try to get a post out there.

There are so many things that I am thankful for I do not know where to start. I am going to focus this "Thankful Thursday" on my children.

I am so thankful for Corey who is 15 years old. He has really grown into a fine young man who loves the Lord. He is a great student, an awesome brother and a wonderful son.

I am so thankful for Kyle who is turning 12 years old. He is growing up so fast and is such an awesome kid. He has decided that he needs to transfer to a public school to continue his education. We are so anxious to see what God has planned for him in this environment. He has a huge heart, wonderful dancing ability and pure joy to be around.

I am so thankful for Colin who is 8 years old. He is a joy to be around. Always making you laugh and you will never know what he is going to say. There is never a dull moment in our house with him around. He is high energy and full of life. I know God has big plans for him.

I am so thankful that God has given me the opportunity to be there mother. They bless my life each day so abundantly. When we all go our separate ways each morning, I can not wait to see them at the end of the day.

Happy Valentine's Day

I love this day. I love the hearts and smiles that seem to be more prominent on this day. You can almost feel the love in the air. My sweet hubby brought me home a beautiful red rose. It looks perfect. It means more to me than a dozen roses would. As I sit here and look at this rose, it reminds me of our love for each other and how we have become one. God has truly blessed my life with this wonderful man. I can not imagine life without him.

I hope each of you can take a few minutes and reflect on the love in your life.

God Bless

Welcome to "The Freeman Family Journey"

As you can see, my blog has been given a wonderful facelift. Thanks to "blogs for a cause".

This journey will be about my family and how much God blesses us daily. We are just an ordinary family, who love to spend time with each other. The years go by so fast that I try to spend each day as it comes, enjoying life and all it has to offer.

We live here in Ohio and have been stuck inside today with lots of snow and ice. No school today and it is not looking good for tomorrow. My boys sure do love it though.

I want to say a special hello to my friends Linn at "A Place Called Simplicity" and Lori at "Joy Unspeakable". These 2 ladies truly bless my life and they are the reason that I joined the blog community. I love reading there blogs daily and they truly enrich my life. God Bless you ladies.

If there is anyone out there who can give me a little advice on how to spruce up my Blog page I would love your help. I want to add pictures of my family along the side and really personalize it but not sure how to do it.

You can email me at brucelisafreeman@windstream.net if that is the easiest way to help. Thanks in advance for any suggestions offered. I really am computer savvy but I am just not getting it.

Merry Christmas!!!

What a great day we had. My kids did not sleep at all last night. We had a house full of family so the kids slept in our room on the floor. I think I had a time check every hour. We told the kids that we would not get up until 7am. All of a sudden at 7:01am the kids jumped up and they were ready to go. They woke everyone else up and the day began.

Everyone enjoyed giving there gifts to each other. Of course everyone got that special gift that they had been waiting for. While we were opening presents the monkey bread was baking in the oven. Boy, did that smell good. After presents were done it was breakfast time and play time.

The remainder of the day was spent playing and eating.

As we begin to wrap up another year, we hope that 2008 as been good to you and your family. We pray that 2009 will hold many more blessings.

In The Beginning ........................

Ever since I got addicted to Linn's and Lori's blogs several months ago I wanted to make one for my family also. I have truly been blessed by these two ladies and there encouraging words they share. There are days you need a good laugh and I can guarantee you each of them will lift you up. The Godly women that share and pray out there in "blog world" is truly amazing to me. If you are a newbie in the blog world, please don't stop here. Please read others blogs and you will be so blessed.

I will start this Freeman Family Journey from the beginning. My husband and I have been married for 16 years and God has truly blessed us. We have 3 wonderful boys who are 15, 11 and 8. We live in a town in Newark, Ohio which is about 30 miles east of Columbus, Ohio. And yes, if anyone of you are asking we are HUGE BUCKEYE FANS.

I hope you continue to follow this journey as our family continues to follow what God has planned for us to do.
